Teaching Artist - Subsitute – Strings

  • Instrument Areas: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

  • Location: El Sistema Colorado Music Center, 2980 Curtis St, Denver, CO 80205

  • Hours: Part-time, weekdays between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend commitments (September – May). Specific hours vary based on position.

  • Starting Compensation: $40/hour

Who We’re Looking For

We seek educators who are:

  • Excellent musicians and skilled pedagogues, with a strong knowledge of string repertoire and teaching methodologies (Suzuki, traditional, etc.).

  • Committed to El Sistema’s philosophy of music as a vehicle for social change.

  • Passionate about working with youth from diverse backgrounds and creating an inclusive, welcoming classroom culture.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively with colleagues, students, and families.

  • Dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
